Karyn Polito graduated from Boston College with a degree from their School of Management and got a J.D. from New England School of Law. She has served on the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen and on the State Lottery Commission. Polito has been a State Representative for the 11th District since 2000 and serves on the Ways and Means Committee. She has lives with her husband and two children in Shrewsbury, where she has lived her whole life and is very involved with the community, both local and regional.

Financial Strategies:

  • Promote transparency and dedication to ethical dealings in the State Treasury and state government in general.
  • Adopt policies that attract businesses and create jobs.
  • Support expanded gaming in Massachusetts.
  • Change the investment strategy of pension funds to seek the maximum rate of return.
  • Remove politics from the pension system by not allowing newly-elected state officials to receive state pensions.
